Korean Wooden Apothecary Chest of Drawers

Item Details

A Korean wooden apothecary chest of drawers. This chest of drawers are made of dark stained hard wood and was used for apothecary purposes. The top shelf has edges that are curved upwards. There are 20 small drawers in a 4 X 5 pattern and two larger drawers beneath the small drawers. The base has a larger compartment that comes with a lock and key. Each drawer has Chinese characters on either side of the pull. The pulls are brass toned, metal rings and half hoops. The bottom compartment is heavily accented in metal prices. Each drawer, with the exception of one, is lined with a thin, green felt.

Condition

-there are some scuffs and scratches throughout.
-one of the drawers is missing the green felt lining.
-the key for the bottom compartment is included.
-the metal accent piece on the front has come off, but is included and only requires new nails for repair.
