Five Gallon Salt Glazed Stoneware Pickling Crock

A five gallon salt glazed stoneware pickling crock. The crock features a gray salt glazed exterior with applied finger grips to sides, having a glazed cobalt blue accent to the front with number ‘5’. The interior is glazed brown. This type of stoneware was once in common usage for fermenting foods such as pickles and sauerkraut.

Condition

- there is a hairline crack to one side, with cracking to interior and exterior base done at time of manufacturing.
