Antique American Eastlake Walnut Sideboard

Item Details

An American Eastlake walnut mirrored sideboard. Features a large and ornate style with a carved pediment featuring turned finials to the sides and elaborate pieced ladder like detailing and carved scalloped and foliate detailing. The top also features incised repeated geometric designs and carved geometric designs in relief throughout. The large beveled mirror rests over a lower shelf for additional display storage. The shelf is finished with a scalloped edge and pierced and incised detailing with carved finials to the sides. There is handsome burl walnut veneer noted throughout the piece. The sideboard features three shelves of tapered edge rose marble to the top of the lower cabinet. The lower cabinet features three drawers for storage and three lower cabinets. The drawers are each finished with brass bails and pulls and the drawers and doors each features brass escutcheons. The two side cabinet doors features incised floral detailing to the burl front doors and the two central cabinet door features carved diamond and floral designs to the front. The piece rests on eight wooden casters.

Condition

Cracks and chips in the veneer on the front. Some water stains to the interior. Some wear noted to the backing of the mirror. Some water stains noted on the top shelf.
