Photogravure Reproduction of "The Man with the Golden Helmet"

A vintage photogravure on paper reproduction of an original circa 1650 painting, originally attributed to extremely prolific Dutch artist Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn’s (1606 – 1669), but more recently attributed to an unknown artist who likely studied with or under Rembrandt. It depicts a soldier settling into a dark background with light reflecting off his golden helmet and light face. There is a ‘The Bonfoey Co.’ framer’s sticker affixed to the verso. Presented behind glass in a gilt and black frame with a hanging wire to the verso.

- wear and paint loss to the frame.
