1824 Prussian Potsdam 72 Caliber Longarm Musket

Item Details

An 1824 Prussian Potsdam 72 caliber single shot, smoothbore longarm musket, model 1809. It has been modified from its original configuration from flint to percussion. It has a brass trigger guard, butt plate and bands, and is marked ‘603, 1824, 7 C . L.W. R,’ with ‘1824’ stamped into the barrel, with ‘Potsdam’ stamped under the pan. Markings indicate ‘Landwehr, 15th infantry, Wesphalian, 7th Army Corp.’ The stock appears to be in good condition and has a warm, worn patina and a tulip-shaped ramrod; fittings have pitting with some rusting around the trigger and flintlock. Untested.
