A striking hand forged sterling silver and natural mineral ‘snake’ wearable art neckpiece by Cincinnati artist Pamela J. Hackim. The unique work of art wraps comfortably around the neck then serpentines down, upturned at the end with a mounted piece of Cerussite mineral in the form of a snake’s head which was the inspiration for the shape of the neckpiece. The natural mineral was purchased from rock-smiths in Mibladen, Morocco. Cerussite is a mineral believed to have properties that help to make a person centered, confident and capable amidst life’s changes. The artist has initialed the neckpiece at the back, the total weight to include the mineral is 4.192 ozt.
Pamela Hackim received her BA in art from San Diego State University and her Masters of Fine Art in jewelry and metals from Towson University. She now resides in Cincinnati where she enjoys working in enamels and metals in her Essex studio.
