Item Details
An original serigraph on paper by famed American Pop artist Andy Warhol (1928 – 1987), created as a trial proof for his 1968 portfolio titled Flash – November 22, 1963. The original portfolio included eleven color serigraphs, each housed in a folded paper with serigraph-printed teletype text describing the continuing media spectacle surrounding the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963. The text was compiled by reporter Phillip Greer. This image depicts a bright orange collage of the presidential seal and First Lady Jackie Kennedy; this image was used in the portfolio on pages 3 and 4, though it was printed in shades of silver and gray. The piece is unsigned and presented without matting or framing.
