A ‘Fire Record’ ledger from Engine Company No. 327 of the New York Fire Department, including records from 1944–1945. This book contains records such as incident reports, time sheets and mileage, some handwritten and some typed. The book is a brown hardcover with gilt trim on its red leather corners; the front cover is hand-marked ‘327,’ and the spine is marked ‘Fire Record; Engine Company No 327; Fire Department New York,’ along with a number 4 on one of the raised bands, in a position consistent with a volume number.

Condition

- red rot to leather corners; some discoloration of cover; wear consistent with age and use; tight binding.
