A Reds and Orioles sculpture. The three wood figures and a wood home plate are connected by metal piping. The characters are painted in accurate colors to reflect the Baltimore Orioles catcher, Ellie Hendricks, the home plate umpire, and the Cincinnati Reds runner sliding into home. Marked on the back of the Reds baseball jersey is ‘Carbo,’ for Bernie Carbo, who played for the Reds as a designated hitter and outfielder from 1969-1972. There are no artist or manufacturer marks to the object.
