Chinoiserie Queen Anne Style Highboy by Kindel Furniture
Item Details
A Queen Anne Style highboy chest, decorated in chinoiserie on black lacquer, by Kindel Furniture. The scrolled bonnet pediment has three gilded flame finials, over three upper drawers and eight lower drawers, each featuring gessoed and hand-painted Chinese figures, birds and pagoda, in landscapes with period style brass hardware. The case stands on four gilt decorated, cabriole legs with pad feet. The sides are ornamented with similar decoration.
