A signed limited edition etching with aquatint and carborundum titled, The Arrival of Kore circa 1982, by English pop artist, Joe Tilson (b.1928), who is best known for his sculptures, paintings, and prints, featuring very intriguing designs, often in various checkered patterns, with bright, vibrant color palettes. This etching depicts an abstract checkered pattern with a different design in each square, which has a color palette comprised of various shades of green, along with yellow, red, blue, beige, brown, and black hues on a white background. This piece is pencil signed and dated by the artist in the lower right margin and is numbered 6 out of an edition of 25 to the lower left. The print has a single white mat and is housed behind plexiglass in a simple metal frame with a wire for hanging to the verso.
Condition
Minor scratches to plexiglass and frame.
