Vintage Pevely Dairy One Gallon Milk Can

Item Details

A one-gallon milk can by the Pevely Dairy Co. of St. Louis, MO. This features a tall cylindrical form with a tapering shoulder and a tall neck with an applied handle. At the top is an adjustable Snap-Tite lever locking lid by the Moeller Manufacturing Company. The neck is marked ‘patent no. 2102862’, which corresponds to the method of reinforcing milk can necks, entered in 1937.
