Lee Reynolds Original Acrylic Southwestern Still Life on Canvas
Item Details
An original acrylic impasto painting on canvas by well-listed American artist Lee (Reynolds) Burr (Califfornia; born 1936). The painting depicts a large-scale Southwestern still life arrangement of clay fired pots and vases and a peace pipe resting on a table top against a textured ambiguous backdrop. Artist signature is signed to the lower right. The painting is mounted in a rounded wood frame with a pale brown finish. Lee Burr was quoted as saying, “Lee Reynolds was simply a trade name. It was attached to numerous artworks and designs at Vanguard Studios. Vanguard Studios was the largest distributor of decorative art in the world at the time. I guided product development. I was personally responsible for many designs, prototypes, and compositions; however, no “LEE REYNOLDS” signed paintings were actually done by my hand.’
Condition
- light accretion on painting surface. Finish of frame is nicked and scratched throughout.
