A copy of Examples Of Modern Etching: Twenty Plates By Balfourier, Bodmer, Bracquemond, Charrock, Flameng, Feyen-Perrin, Seymour Haden, Hamerton, Heseltine, Laguillermie, Lalanne, Legros, Lucas, Palmer, Rajon, Veyrassat. With explanatory text written by Philip Gilbert Hamerton, this scarce edition was published by Seeley, Jackson, and Halliday in London in 1876. The book is bound in brown cloth covered boards with a gilt lettered title and author’s name on the front cover and spine. The front cover also features the names of the artists whose work is included with their names lettered in black. The text edges are all gilt.
Condition
One plate is missing. Normal shelf wear to the cover consistent with age, the front hinge is cracked, and foxing are evident.
