An oil painting on canvas titled No.18 Portrait of a Court Jeweler. The work depicts a jeweler in black with the tools of his trade in hand. A note on the back of the canvas reads ‘This portrait came from the old church in Canterbury…sold in 1870, it is no.18 portrait of a Court Jeweler. It had been in the church house at least since 1722’. The painting has information to the back detailing an artist’s name and the date 1574. The piece is set in a beveled dark wood frame.

Condition

Item has wear consistent with age.
