Item Details

An original oil painting on canvas. This painting depicts a clipper at sea with a few sailors on deck; two sailboats can be seen in the background against a cloudy blue sky. It is signed ‘Webb 1872’ in red to the lower right and set in a gold tone and black ornate frame; the reverse is equipped with a wire for hanging.

Condition

- light scratches and stains to canvas; some cracking to frame corners; frame is scratched, scuffed, and discolored; back of frame is worn.
