A framed lithograph on paper of an exhibition poster for well-listed artist Louise Nevelson (1899-1988). On a field of white, the work depicts a variety of shapes that reflect the found objects Nevelson used in her sculpture work. The poster advertises the opening of ‘The Unveiling of Dawn Shadows’ show held May 19, 1983, at Madison & Wells in Chicago. The piece is not signed nor numbered with an edition. Under glass, the item is presented in a simple black metal frame with hanging wire present to the verso. Nevelson is well known for her black found-object sculptures and has work in a variety of major art museums.
