1930s Wyandotte Tin Lithograph Toy Carnival Band

A 1930s Wyandotte tin lithograph toy carnival. This wonderful piece features a tin carousel with cardboard figures, a spinning airplane ride and a ferris wheel with rotating seats. The rides are connected to a central flywheel spring mechanism that sets them in motion when depressed. The mechanism is not currently operating properly. The green enameled tin carnival board is surrounded on three sides by a tin lithographed fence with cardboard stands to front. Marked as ‘Wyandotte Toys Made in the USA’ on the top of the ferris wheel.

Condition

- mechanism does not operate freely. There is bending to guard rail and ferris wheel with tearing to cardboard panels with some loss; heads missing on the “Admissions” people; The ferris wheel is unattached and is missing band.
