An original oil painting on canvas titled Spring Rome by J. Collar. Depicted in an impressionistic style two young girls are playing in a tall grassy area with a doll. They wear casual garden clothes with a red dress and white pinafore with a high collar indicative to the late 18th and early 19th century. In the lower right corner, the artist has signed the piece in a dark tone painting. This piece is presented in a composite gilt frame with a floral motif. To the verso, a decal with the title and artist name is presented to the top stretcher bar. A decal from Alderfer’s Auction is present to the lower right corner of the frame and a copyright stating this piece of the property is on the back of the canvas.
