Japanese Moriage Peacock Theme Bowl

Item Details

A bowl featuring textured Japanese moriage detail and a peacock theme. The light yellow-green tone bowl has a ruffled edge and two handles. There are two blue and green tone peacocks painted inside the bowl and there is gold tone detail applied to the handles and ruffled edges. Peacock feathers decorate the outer sides. Along with Japanese characters, ‘US Patent NBR. 912171, Feb. 9 1909, Japan’ is marked to the underside.

Condition

- very slight discoloration; surface scratches; loss of gold tone detail.
