An original oil painting of a scout by Charles Damrow (American, 1916-1989). Damrow is a Sheboygan, Wisconsin artist, self taught with a preference for painting nostalgic western scenes. This painting on canvas depicts a Native American surveying the serene view of a stream below from a plateau. It is signed Charles Damrow on the lower left. Damrow is a well listed artist painting both realism and surrealism styles. This art is presented in a mottled gold tone wood and beige linen frame. The reverse is marked ‘Samuels Artists of the American West.’
