A signed limited edition serigraph titled We the People by American artist Melanie Taylor Kent. Born in Philidelphia and raised in Southern Calfornia, Kent won her fist art competition at age 12 and graduated from the UCLA School of Art. Her works have been licensed by Warner Bros and The Walt Disney Company. This vibrant serigraph commemorates the two hundred year anniversary of the United States Constitution. Depicted at the center of the image is Independence Hall in Philadelphia, with two large trees framing either side. The sky is a peach color with the Preamble to the Constitution printed in white cursive script printed on it .The signing of the Constitution is depicted at the bottom, with George Washington, Alexander Hamilton, James Madison and other Founding Fathers gathered around green tables. Various patriotic floats can be seen filled with historic figures including suffragettes, abolitionists, and more. The artist’s initials are signed in the plate and then her full signature is done in pencil. The piece has a custom cut mat done in a pale peach color. It is number 176 out of 200 editions .
