An original 1977 tempera painting on board by 20th century Cincinnati, Ohio-based artist Murl H. Rush (1921 – 2004), titled Shoshoni Camp. Rush specialized in Western and American Indian genre scenes. Here, a group of American Indians congregate outside of a trio of teepees in a Southwestern desert landscape. The painting is signed and dated to the lower left corner. It is again signed, dated, and title to the verso. The piece is presented in a wooden frame with brown and gold tone finishes. A hanging wire is attached to the verso.
