Item Details

A late 19th century Victorian platform rocker. The walnut frame features a shaped, floral-carved and burled crest above a padded back and seat covered in cream and yellow, floral-patterned upholstery. The reeded stiles continue to padded, open arms and downswept supports. The handholds and lateral seat rails are further embellished with shallow, carved details. The chair rocks on a platform base ending in wooden casters.
