A Folk Art oil painting on board. The framed painting, by listed folk artist Howard Finster (American, 1916-2001) depicts a surreal city scene with flying human figures above the buildings. The painting includes the message ‘Visions of Holy Citys 9000.787 works of our time by Howard Finster from God – Man of Visions – 10:32 Jan 6 1989’. The back of the painting also includes the handwritten message ‘9000.787 – works. Since-1976-BY Howard Finster – Jan-6-1989 – God Bless You All’ with a small drawing of a stylized bird. The painting is presented in a simple wood-look plastic frame and is ready to hang.
