Chinese Calligraphy on Paper by Xu Beihong
Item Details
A Chinese ink calligraphy on paper by well-known artist Xu Beihong (徐悲鴻, Chinese, 1895-1953). Beihong is best known for his dynamic ink paintings of horses. The piece presents black calligraphy inscribed on white paper and signed by Beihong with his seals in red to the lower left corner. The piece is presented on paper behind glass, over linen off-white mat in a gesso frame with a gilt finish. There is a wire and framer labels attached to the verso and the piece is ready to hang.

- to fair; abrasion to frame; minor stains to paper; discoloration to linen mat.
