An offset lithographic reproduction print after the original painting by well-listed American folk artist Anna Mary Robertson Moses, better known as ‘Grandma Moses’ (1860 – 1961), titled Sugaring Off. The image depicts a charming, naïve rendering of a colorful crowd of people harvesting maple sap and making maple sugar outdoors in the bare woods blanketed in snow. Artist signature is printed in plate to the lower right. The print is mounted behind cream and green double mat, under glass in a beveled wood frame.
Condition
- light discoloration to print and interior edges of mats. Finish of frame is scuffed and worn with craquelure throughout.
