Item Details
An offset lithograph on paper after an original painting by Nellie Meadows titled Kentucky the Great State. This piece depicts two horses grazing in a large white fenced field with a barn in the distance and a road leading to the field. The print is signed in plate to the lower left of the main image. Mounted under a double layer of white and green matting and glass, the print is presented in a stained wood frame with hanging wire and framer’s decal present to verso. The original painting was chosen as Kentucky’s official piece during the U.S. bicentennial.
