An oil on canvas by Emily Burling Waite (American, 1887 – 1980) depicting a boy with dog. The strawberry blonde haired boy in white is seated with his arm around a brown haired dog. Both the boy and the dog confront the viewer with their gazes and they are set against a vivid green background. The unframed canvas is signed ‘EMILY BURLING WAITE’ to the lower left corner.
