Inert 90mm Anti-Aircraft Shell and Projectile

Item Details

A 90mm shell and projectile. This piece was manufactured for initial use in either the M1, M2 or M3 Anti-Aircraft cannons used by the United States Armed forces from the 1940s to the 1950s. These projectiles were of a large caliber to allow the projectile to travel thousands of feet into the air and still have enough force to puncture and down enemy aircraft. This shell has been emptied of the powder and the projectile has had it’s explosive removed. The blasting cap for the shell is still present.
