Hemingray "Mickey Mouse" Insulator

Item Details

A Hemingray ‘Mickey Mouse’ blue glass insulator. Insulators were used on telegraph poles to keep the wires insulated from the wooden poles that held them up. This is known as a ‘Mickey Mouse’ insulator because of the two ears on its top. It is marked ‘Hemingray-60, Made in U.S.A.’ along the base.

Condition

Consistent with age and use. A small chip on insulator.
