Early 20th Century Glazed-Door Bookcase

Item Details

An early 20th century glazed-door bookcase. The mahogany-veneered case features a rectangular top above a pair of glazed doors, which open to a divided interior with four-shelves on each side. The doors are fitted with brass-toned handles and the bookcase rises on scrolled, front feet.

Condition

- scattered wear and surface residue, including some scratches and scuffs; some veneer chips and losses with a larger loss on the skirt; one of the doors is fitted with a later plexiglass panel; shrinkage cracks on the interior; some alligatoring to finish.
