8 ft. Antique Oak Tall Case Clock

Item Details

A large antique oak tall case clock with painted face and moon dial. This late 19th century clock has an arched top bonnet with three finials, and reeded column stiles on the hood. The painted face is set in a tole style design of flowers on a black background, under a pastoral building scene and contains a moon dial. The body has marquetry stars on the door and on the base, with marquetry border around each part. The movement, weights and pendulum do not appear to be original to the clock, and the moon dial is not connect to the movement. The plinth is later.
