A collection of eight books from The Franklin Library’s Franklin Mystery collection. Includes Great American Mystery Stories of the Twentieth Century (1988), Ashenden: Or the British Agent by W. Somerset Maugham (1986), The Postman Always Rings Twice & Double Indemnity by James M. Cain (1988), The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde (1988), The Ipcress File by Len Deighton (1988), The Innocence of Father Brown by G.K. Chesterton (1989), Blood Sport by Dick Francis (1988), and Farewell, My Lovely by Raymond Chandler (1988). All are bound with imitation leather on board with elaborate gilt decoration, raised bands to spine, and gilt fore edges. Some feature gilt ornamentation to covers, while others have color insets.
