Pair of Mid-Century Flamingo Lamps with Original Shades
Item Details
A pair of fabulous mid-century flamingo lamps with original shades. The bases each have a graceful flamingo with its wings up and a spray of lightly painted greenery beneath it. Hand painted in vibrant pink, black, cream and light green with a slight luster finish over the piece. The flamingos are perched on art deco black stepped bases with a single band of pierced brass trim surrounding the center tier. Each is topped by a trumpet shade with narrow pleats and a hand painted spray of pink blossoms and simple leafy limbs along with a simple finial. Bases are felted with original two-prong plugs.
Condition
-consistent with age and use. The lamp bases are in good condition, one lamp has been repaired on the pierced metal trim, one shade is severely heat damaged, second shade in fair condition; lamps work.
