Print After "The Emperor Guang Wu Fording a River" by Qiu Ying
Item Details
An offset lithograph after The Emperor Guang Wu Fording a River by the Ming dynasty painter Qiu Ying (仇英, circa 1494-circa 1552). The original work is housed in the National Gallery of Canada. The print depicts a rambling mountain scene with a group of figures shown crossing a body of water at the foot of the mountain. The artist’s red seal is shown in the bottom right corner of the image as well as near the top left corner. It is housed in a distressed green wooden frame with an off-white fabric mat, under glass.
Condition
- small break in glass in the bottom left corner, mat is rippling on left side. May require cleaning
