A signed artist’s proof serigraph by well-regarded Kwakiutl artist and member of the Wewaikum Bank in Campbell River, Mark Henderson (born 1953), titled Hummingbird, dated 1998. The image depicts a traditional Kwakiutl design of a fierce, stylized bird with claws extended and focused eyes, rendered in bold, flat earth colors with a tribal motif. Artist signature is signed and dated in pencil to the lower left. Print is marked artist’s proof and titled in pencil to center and lower right. Mounted behind three complementing layers of mat, under glass, in a wood frame with a black cast veneer. A hanging wire is attached to the verso.
