1883 S Morgan Silver Dollar

A 1883-S uncirculated Morgan silver dollar. Minted from 1878-1904, the Morgan dollar coins are composed of 90% silver. The obverse features a bust in profile of Lady Liberty and the reverse depicts an eagle with outstretched wings. The coin was designed by George T. Morgan (English, 1845-1925), an engraver for the United States Mint. The coin is dated 1893, with an “S” mint mark on the reverse, under the eagle, indicating it was minted in San Fransisco.
