Antique Dresser with Vanity Mirror

Item Details

An antique dresser with vanity mirror. The vintage or antique wood dresser is made of wood and wood veneers, and is stained a dark mahogany color. The rectangular top has straight sides. The base features heavy, round turned, barley twist wood columns to either side of the lower three drawers, which feature nicely defined grain patterns to the drawer fronts, and dovetails to the insides. These three drawers are fitted with round wooden knobs and locks. Just below the dresser top are two smaller, dovetailed drawers, with rounded fronts, which are fitted with round wood knobs. There are carved wood panels to either side of the top two drawers featuring leaf vine motifs. Included with the dresser is a small, tilting vanity mirror, which is held in a wood frame that is accented with round turned knobs at the top. The mirror rests atop a set of two small drawers with curved fronts, which are fitted with pairs of brass-tone metal hinged pulls, and the mirror cabinet rests on short, bracket feet. Neither item has maker’s marks. The item is located on a main floor, and will need to be carried through several doorways to remove.

- face of the piece has large chips to the wood veneer
- wood on the top is cracked
- mirror topper is slightly coming apart around the frame
