A collection of commemorative coins. This thirty-six piece collection contains three boxes of bronze coins marking the 500th anniversary of Christopher Columbus’ arrival in the Americas (twelve coins total) and one display panel of 1984 Olympics transit tokens (twenty-four coins) created for the Southern California Rapid Transit District. A box of Columbus coins reads ‘Commemorating the Quincentennial of the Discovery of America, Official Caravel Bronze Collection, Authorized by Sociedad Estatal del Quinto Centenario in Madrid, Spain.’ The coins are stamped with ‘Quinto Centenario, 1492 – 1992.’ The Olympics coins represent different sports, such as ‘Tennis,’ Rowing,’ ‘Pentathlon,’ and more; their presentation box reads in gold tone lettering ‘Games of the XXIIrd Olympiad Los Angeles 1984.’

- to good; one of the Columbus boxes is unopened in shrink wrapping.
