A lithograph on paper of an original work by Aubrey Vincent Beardsley (1872 – 1898) titled The Stomach Dance, dated 1893. This piece depicts a semi-nude woman floating above the ground while the devil plays an instrument. The piece is signed with Beardsley emblematic signature to the lower right corner. The print is mounted under a single layer of maroon matting, glass and presented in a gold tone and black wood frame; hanging wire and framer’s decal present to verso. Beardsley is best known for his black ink drawings influenced by Japanese woodcuts all with an erotic and grotesque subject matter.
