Pair of 1947 Rookwood Art Pottery Elephant Bookends

Item Details

A pair of Rookwood art pottery bookends in the shape of elephants with raised trunks. They are finishes with a high-gloss molted green glaze with glaze pools in some areas. To the undersides, they are both marked with the Rookwood flame logo, ‘XLVII’ for 1947 and ‘6124’ for the shape number and larges ‘X’ indicating factory seconds.
