A gold foil reproduction of a Blaeu wall map. The heading reads Nova Totius Terrarom Sive Novi Orbis Tabula (New and Accurate Map of the World). Above the map is a border containing eleven portraits: Pope Innocent XIth is in the center, with horsemen depicting all the reigning monarchs of the time of the original map’s publishing, including Charles II of Spain, Johannes III of Poland, Louis XIV of France, and the Sultan of Turkey. Below the map is a brief history of the mapmaker. This map is a copy of the original 17th century map that was considered to be one of Blaeu’s finest maps. Framed under glass with hanging wire to back.
