Robert Fabe Original Watercolor
Item Details
An original watercolor painting by well-loved and listed artist Robert Fabe (Cincinnati, Ohio, 1914 – 2004). The painting is a brilliant example of Fabe’s signature washed out and slightly ominous style. The painting depicts two fishermen spreading out a net together on the bank of a wide, flat body of water painted in deep tones of navy. An eery gray sky fills the scene beyond them, fading seamlessly into the arid landscape below. The painting is signed to the lower right. It is double-matted in beige linen and shimmering gold and is presented behind glass in a wooden frame with pickled finish and a hanging wire.
