Item Details

A custom-made hall tree with Victorian Eastlake components. The wooden frame is finished in a walnut stain and features a floral-carved, serrated cornice with lateral-mounted hooks above a rectangular mirror, a carved mid-panel, and a padded seat. The chair has open arms and a four-legged base with a hinged storage compartment below the front seat rail. Portions of the back as well as the seat are upholstered in striped, red and gold fabric. The back retains an old label reading ‘Chiffonier’ / ‘G.B.W. Line’ and an obscured stencil.
