A signed and dated original watercolor and ink drawing. The original piece of art depicts a fisherman’s wharf. The men are wearing yellow suits unloading the boats and opening the boxes. This watercolor is protected with a gray matting and housed under glass with a black contemporary frame.
Paul Shively (1897-1987) was born in Lisbon, Ohio and would move to Cleveland in his formative years. He graduated from the Cleveland School Of Art. In the 1930’s he would travel and paint in France and would return to the United States and settle within New York and Summer In Rockport. He was known for his watercolors.
