An original marine watercolor on paper by American painter George Gibson (1904 – 2001). The piece depicts a wharf scene during embarking, in shades of brown, blue and green; a docked sailboat with embarkation shelves to the left ground and men figures along boxes to the right ground of the composition; with sailboat and predominant white sails in the background. The piece presents a vertical signature by the artist to the lower right corner and numbered ‘462 K’ to the upper left corner of the verso. It is presented on paper under white and burgundy double mat in a wood frame with golden tone finish. There is a wire attached to the verso and the piece is ready to hang.
