An original watercolor on paper by Sybil Marjorie Atteck (1911 − 1975). The piece depicts a tropical tonalist scene with three female figures washing white clothes contiguous to a river and green lands alongside palm trees and tropical foliage situated next to the waters; juxtaposed to the natural ambiance a bridge is placed amongst palm trees and elevated lands within tropical vegetation in the background. The painting is signed ‘Sybil Atteck’ to the lower right corner. It is presented behind glass under textured off-white mat board in a wood frame with a white paint finish. There is a handwritten description and wire present to the verso and the piece is ready to hang.
