Antique "The Fashion" School Desk

An antique school desk. The desk named The Fashion was made by the Sidney School Furniture Company in Sidney, Ohio. The company formed in 1881 and began to produce this progressive desk. The company created the ‘Patent T-head’ which the wood of the desks top, back and seat to the cast legs that in turn framed the wood and iron together doing away with screws and bolts.The wood affixed to the base is not original.
