A pair of signed colored pencil drawings by artist Margaret Michel. One drawing features a bunch of berries on a branch with leaves, isolated against a white background. The other drawing depicts a flowering branch with pink flowers and multi-colored blue and green leaves, also isolated against a white background. The artist’s use of the medium captures the gradation of colors and a sense of texture in the foliage. Both drawings have white matting and are signed in the lower right. The picture of the berries has a thin blue border on the edge of the mat, whereas the flower drawing has a thin pink border, both of which bring out the respective colors in the drawings. They are protected in matching gold-tone wood frames with delicate carved acanthus borders. Both are ready to hang with picture wire on the back.
